Jada Pinkett-Smith and Queen Latifah Reunite on Latifah’s “The Equalizer”

Jada Pinkett-Smith, along with her longtime friend/collaborator, Queen Latifah, are linking up to work together again. This time it will be on Latifah’s CBS hit police drama, The Equalizer.

Pinkett-Smith, host of Facebook‘s The Red Table Talk, and Latifah have a friendship and work history that stretches over 30 years. They both starred in the crime heist thriller, Set It Off, back in 1996. More recently, back in 2017, they came together in the hit comedy film, Girls Trip, which also starred comedian, Tiffany Haddish.

Now, the friends are planning to make a splash together on the small screen. In the upcoming episode of The Equalizer, which stars Queen Latifah as Robin McCall, Pinkett-Smith will take on the role of Jessie Cook, a genius thief with a photographic memory. Pinkett-Smith’s character will have a history with McCall, due to them working together on a CIA mission back in the day.

The news of Jada Pinkett-Smith making a guest appearance on The Equalizer comes shortly after the firing of Chris Noth, who played William Bishop, McCall’s right hand man.

Noth was let go from the series after sexual assault claims were recently brought against him by two different women.

The Equalizer has become a winning show for CBS. It currently brings in around 7.5 million live viewers on a weekly basis and is in talks to be renewed for a Season 3.

The Equalizer returns with all new shows on Sunday, February 27.
