Legendary superstar Janet Jackson, who recently released her self-titled two-part documentary on Lifetime, is also gearing up to give her fans some new music later this year.

The 55 year-old whose music career has spanned four decades, as she dazzled her fans with tracks like “Control”, that defined her as an independent woman, to the sexy and sultry “I Get Lonely”, may be changing up the style of Janet as we know on this upcoming project.
According to third-party sources, Janet has plans to move away from her signature flirty pop, sensual sex-kitten-styled R&B, and hard-hitting dance music.

Janet, who is the mother to a 5 year-old son, wants to bring ‘feel good’ music to her worldwide fans.
Currently, she’s reuniting with legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who are mainly responsible for giving her her sound. There have also been talks of her collaborating with writers such as Siedah Garrett, Darrel Randel, and Marcel East. As far as any musical duets or features, that has been on the hush hush for now.
In addition to working on her new album, Janet will also be headlining the Cincinatti Music Festival this summer, along with legendary R&B singer, Charlie Wilson.
I’m definitely interested in hearing some new music from Janet, but I will miss the sexy, fun, dancing machine that we all know and love if she decides to leave that behind.
